William was born in 1873 in Deptford He married in 1899 in Woolwich to Elizabeth Louise Montague born 1877. Her parents were Joseph Montague born 1832 and Jane born 1856 sisters Jane Montague born 1855, Alice Montague born 1880, Ellen Montague born 1881 and a brother Joseph Montague born 1888. They were china and glass dealers at 34 High St Woolwich. William was a Constable in the Metropolitan Police 1899 to 1918 serving at Brixton, Stoke Newington and Bow Street and a General Dealer 1919 to 1925 at 43 Albert Road Peckham SE15. In 1901 he lived at 8 Bythorn Street Lambeth and died in 1947 in Croydon
