Lill was born 13/04/1906 in Coventry. she was married on 20/09/1931 to Frank Body born 1906 in Amersham they lived at 11 Pineapple Road, Amersham Common, Buckinghamshire.

They had two adopted children 

David and Pauline Winkle. who are both married with children. David took the name Body

As a child I remember having marvellous Family Christmases at Aunt Lills and Uncle Franks.

There seemed to be dozens of people staying sleeping all over the house. We spent long hours walking in the country or playing cards and there was always something going on. Once we were sat at the table playing cards when the door burst open and a man wearing a red and black striped jumper a black mask and carrying a large bulging sack labeled "SWAG" ran in, closely followed by a fat policeman with a large red nose, blowing a whistle and waving a truncheon. Pandemonium ensued as they chased each other round and round the table before dashing out again. The burglar was my father George. I don't remember who the policeman was. Pre TV entertainment.

Laurence Clubley also remembered a few funny episodes at Frank and Lill's house, one of which when they went over to the fields to have a picnic, and were swarmed by flies. So Laurence Sen. poured the dregs of the beer on Franks head, which made the flies leave the picnic alone and all buzz around Frank. He had to go home (followed by the flies) to wash his head!!! Both Lill and Frank loved a game of cards and never went anywhere without their bags of half pennies.

Frank was a gardener and walked with a bent back he always said it enabled him to do the weeding without kneeling down

Lill had a large collection of dolls from all over the world.
