George was born on the 24/02/1914 in Erith. He was a Pattern Maker and a Newsagent and died in Worthing on 03/03/1999.
He lived at 52 Camrose Street, Abbey Wood, SE2, Rose Villa Stores, Hextable, Walton On the Naze, Rugby, Hastings and Worthing. George married. Phyllis May AddisonGeorge worked at Woolwich Arsenal during the war and also served in the Home
guard. He was a keen Labour and union supporter and was a shop steward at Fraser
and Chalmers Co. Erith.
After being made redundant for the third time he gave up Patternmaking
and bought Rosevilla Stores. A general stores in Hextable Kent. He turned it into a Newsagents and made a
success of it but due to Phyllis's ill health retired early to Walton on the
Naze moving to Rugby. Hastings and then to Worthing.
He was a good Chess player and loved word games and Puns. He was an avid reader
and a keen supporter of Charlton Athletic football club.
