Bond Bug for sale
I have been asked by a friend if I could sell his Bug for him he bought it about
2 yrs ago and was going to put it on the road but never got round to it.
He tells me that for the mot it only needs to get the wipers working.
I have no idea of the working condition but when I looked at it about 2yrs ago
it was looking very tidy.
It is not standard it has doors and the spare wheel is mounted on the boot lid
the seats have been recovered and look quite nice it has been sat in his work
shop and is now covered in dust, it is on a Q plate and the year in the log book
is 1991 I think but I will check when I see him next. (yes Rhona I will send you
the details) I think it as an 850cc engine but again I will check on this.
The price £2500 ono, feel this would be a good Bug for some one.

BOND BUG

Isle of Man Tour
Sat 11th July - Sat 18th July 2009
Cronk Dhoo Farm,
Greeba,
Isle of Man, IM4 2DX.
The Isle of Man is an island full of history with excellent driving roads, Scenery, Pubs, Restaurants etc. I have been contemplating getting a Bond Bug tour together for a few years. Following discussions over the winter the tour is now on. It all takes place between the 11th to 18th July 2009 using Cronk Dhoo Farm as a central base. The aim is then to go out on daily runs to places of interest including the big wheel at Laxey and a full lap of the TT Circuit with relaxing evenings including Bar b Ques - Pub Nights etc.
Cronk Dhoo Farm is centrally placed between Douglas and Peel on the TT Course and has a local Pub/Restaurant within 5 minutes walk with regular Bus trips running up to 11.30 at night to local towns. Site includes showers - Hot water and for those who don't fancy camping chalets and hard standing for motor homes.
Ferry Crossing
Depending on numbers I hope to leave in convoy on Saturday 11th July from Liverpool to Douglas which takes 2 hours using the 19:00 Ferry. Having spoken to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company they are charging the Motorcycle and Sidecar rate instead of the car rate.
Closer to the date I will confirm sail and meet times. I will also leave it to each team to book there own ferry crossing- This allows a bit more flexibility and cuts down the paperwork on my part. I'm also looking at finding a local to Liverpool camp site we can use as a Friday base.
Prices
Isle of Man Steam Packet
Crossing /Return Should be £118 per car and Driver.
Please see link below for more information on prices and booking.
Camping
Pitches per night are £6.00
More information will be forthcoming over the next few months and a thread will be started on my Message Board for interaction or discussion.

The National
MicroCar Rally 2009
will be in Ripon
The National Microcar Rally
Organised by the Micro Maniacs!!! Yup ... they've put us in charge!
The rally will be held at Ripon Racecourse (known as the Garden Racecourse) in the picturesque and popular Yorkshire Dales. Historic Ripon , known as “The Cathedral City of The Dales” is within easy reach of all the traditional attractions of the Dales and the local area contains a network of interesting roads through scenic countryside giving us a beautiful playground for a number of enjoyable road runs.
The Dales themselves are a National Park where tourists are welcome and there are a large number of friendly attractions which will give us a wide choice of destinations for our various roadruns.
For more info on the area have a look at the following websites:
www.visitripon.org/visitor_info
www.yorkshiredales.org
On the racecourse rally field there is a large brick building that we will have sole use of, and which contains toilets, showers, light and heat, and is large enough for our usual let-your-hair-down evening entertainment. There’s also a large covered verandah which will be convenient for outdoor happenings and gatherings.
Ripon Racecourse is only about 5 miles from junction 48 of the A1M and so is easily accessible from all parts of the country. Ripon itself is only about a mile away so event visitors will have an excellent choice for shopping for provisions.
We are already looking forward to seeing our Micro-friends from UK and from overseas so we hope you will be there.
