On Sunday, 6th February, 2005, motorcyclists from all over the UK, starting from various points (North, East, South and West) will meet up in their major cities at determined times. They then move to the next city in the route and join up with others. At each city, along the way or even before the event we are collecting for the Tsunami Earthquake.

Malaguti has been quick on the draw with news of a James Toseland rep paddock scooter to celebrate his WSB championship win.
The Italian manufacturer is the official supplier of paddock scooters to the Ducati Corse team in WSB. The limited edition Toseland rep Firefox F15 scooter will be launched at next month's NEC bike show in Birmingham.
It has factory Ducati Corse Fila livery complete with Toseland's 52 race number.
The single-cylinder, 50cc two-stroke comes with a digital multi option LCD instrument panel on the dash and twin projector headlights. It lists at £2149.

The Nexus 500 uses the 460cc single cylinder Piaggio Master engine from the X9 and manages to get over 40 bhp thanks to new fuel injection mapping and forced air induction.

With a dry weight of 185 Kg (The lightest maxi scooter on the market) and a realistic motorcycle style swinging arm, adjustable suspension ,a ultra-stiff frame, a 48% front 52% rear weight distribution which is more motorcycle than scooter , linked Brembo braking system and clean styling based on the popular Runner series of scooters, the Nexus could set the scooter world alight when it arrives in Autumn 2003.

Castrol Scooting 2t Oil which come in 1 litre bottles for the average price of £5.00 has now been superceded by Castrol Scoot-R 2t Oil. Castrol Uk have assured me that Scoot-R is just the same 2-stroke oil but with a new name.

Bikers are becoming more and more frustrated at the clear lack of provision and planning for motorcycles / scooters in London. Spaces are limited, with many spending a great deal of time each day riding round trying to find a space in the packed solo motorcycle parking bays.

Some are reverting to stealth tactics by either parking on the pavement lights where they believe they are immune to ticketing, and some even going as far as covering up their tax discs and registration plates to avoid being fined. The latter as a result of the ruling that traffic wardens are only allowed to touch a vehicle for the purpose of fixing the ticket and are unable to interfere with a vehicle further.

To commemorate this special partnership, Piaggio and Jordan Grandprix have designed a special limited edition Scooter and have licensed just 400 units for 2003, in one batch to be sold in June.
Price is expected to be £1749.

Peugeot will also be re-launching the Speedfight 2 with a trendy new limited edition WRC in a Red & White
