Hello, this is Sam Squirrel speaking. My human family have been away on holiday
so things were quiet here for a while.

They topped up the peanuts in the bird feeder before they left.
That's the one which Scatty raids when he is hungry but he will tell you all about that battle another time.
The humans had stayed by the sea and were remembering a story about a seagull which I thought you might like.
They had been climbing up Snaefell, in the Isle of Man, and stopped at the top to admire the view.
Down came the seagulls, demanding to be fed. The humans had some biscuits with
them and threw some into the air for the gulls to catch.
One gull was very greedy and grabbed a biscuit sideways across his beak.
It stuck out on both sides and wouldn't go down his throat.
He didn't want to let it go and pick it up again in case the other birds took it from him.
The other birds chased him because he had the biggest bit of food but eventually he
managed to break it and swallow the pieces.
The humans were laughing at his antics but thought that some bread might have been better.
See you again
