Hello - my name is Happy and I am a heron
living in a pond just down the road from Sam.I am 'happy' because the pond I live near is FULL of lots and lots and lots of goldfish.
Just guess what is my most favourite food?
Are you really sure you have got it right?Now for my story, I expect you have guessed that Sam Squirrel has a human family belonging to him.
Well they walk round my pond most weeks and always keep an eye out for me as they are not too keen on me eating the goldfish.
One day I was hiding in the rushes, looking just like a stalk, and was waiting for them to GO AWAY so I could get down to my breakfast.Unfortunately, Mother human managed to spot me and clapped her hands to frighten me away. (Spoilsport)
Father human took a picture of me so I have put it in with my story - not that I am vain!
I had to go off muttering and look for something else for my meal as all the fish had hidden under the stones.
