Questioning Climate.
"Correlation is NOT Causation"
For quite some while now I have been interested in the
Anthropogenic Global Warming (now "Climate Change") debate. No, it is not
over, particularly for those people who have the integrity to do a little
studying rather than relying upon what politicians and mainstream media say,
particularly in the UK.
On this website analyses, questions and opinions are aired
in the hope that it might inspire others to reassess the science and policies
associated with Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW).
Bring science back out of the political arena
and return it to solid facts-based truth!
The work contained in this website was undertaken
in my spare time as an interest. I do not receive sponsorship or reward of

Latest News and Additions:
3/1/2011 GHCN
Analysis. This builds upon 'The
Influence of Station Numbers on Temperature' work. Two large warming
biases were found in the raw average records of GHCN, along with a possible
solar linkage. Note: This document is an early
draft and contains some of my notes, and no doubt plenty of grammatical and
other issues, however, the basic content is the important
aspect.Available as pdf here.
18/3/2010 Here is a short analysis of UK (England
& Wales) rainfall using Met Office figures: UK Rainfall Where is the Global Warming? Available as pdf
here.
1/3/2010 I have revisited the Arctic sea ice extent
study, Declining How Fast? It now
includes area values of differences between the satellite measurements. Available as pdf here.
16/11/2009 Could there be some problems with Biofuels
that are not spoken about? Find out
here.
13/10/2009 Blame the Met Office is a short piece to demonstrate how easy it
is to use cumulative processes to match an unrelated dataset to rising carbon
dioxide level.
10/10/2009 Per Capita Carbon has been extended to include
the relationship with wealth (GDP). It also includes analysis
of the relative efficiently of each sate in converting carbon to
GDP.
6/9/2009 Several changes have been made with the
most obvious being the menu. Nothing has disappeared but the locations may
have. If you have problems finding a page, please use the website facilities. Also in this update is
a page entitled 'Spot the UK
Warming'. Go on, have a go, you know you want to!
24/6/2009 I have
realised that when the site is viewed on low resolution monitors not all the
menu to the side is accessible. To
overcome this, please use the link to the Site
Map and navigate from there.
20/6/2009 Having finally migrated to a new PC, or
rather partially migrated, I have finally managed to get enough software running
to make some additions here. An Arctic
sea ice extent analysis has been added. This was a guest post on Jeff
Id's blog some weeks ago. The Links page has been amended, and a few other
items tweaked.
7/2/2009 Another prediction was added. This is actually a link to the new
UN IPCC page where a crystal ball is used to predict effective carbon dioxide
climate forcing in the year 2100.
17/11/2008 Some while ago I was inspired by an
article by Ross McKitrick regarding station numbers and temperature. I did
a little work and wrote a short article. In my usual way, I put it to one
side and didn't publish it. Having just been reminded about it, I have
placed it under the new title of Station
Numbers.
29/10/2008 Having run into numerous discussions
regarding the Cumulative process and its effect, I decided it was a good idea to
demonstrate what it does through a few examples. Hence, the Cumulative Examples page was
born.
9/10/2008 I have added a page named "In Progress"
which is pretty much what it says. It is a selection from my notes, data
analysis, graphs etc. from various aspects of my climate studies. This is
by no means all; it is just some that I feel needs sharing at this
particular time.
16/9/2008 Facts related to the Vostok ice-core
corrections included on link page. "Power
to the People" added. This is a response to the UK Conservative
Party's energy policy.
8/9/2008 Small addition to Antarctica
page.
29/8/2008 Corrected rounding error in Seasonal
Differences.
14/8/2008 CO2
& Ocean pH has addition of further reading, an article by Dr J Floor
Anthoni.
12/8/2008 Added CO2
& Ocean pH. The reference shows virtually no change in pH as a
result of doubling atmospheric CO2. Extra links added.
3/8/2008 Antarctica page added. Is Antarctica isolated from
Anthropogenic Global Warming? A white paper from
IPICS shows an
interesting temperature profile for the continent of Antarctica.
1/7/2008 Added Gallery of "Temperature &
CO2". Here you can find some examples of plots from peer reviewed papers
showing that atmospheric CO2 cannot be driving temperatures.
9/6/2008 Added Links page and made some minor
changes.
3/6/2008 A few minor changes here and
there.
24/5/2008 Link to the revised paper was put up
with a clear statement of ownership.
23/5/2008 I realised that there was confusion of
authorship of my discussion paper. It was pulled and will be unavailable until
such time as it has been revised.
19/5/2008 Added two galleries of graphs. One contains those
from my paper and the other plots that I didn't include.
17/5/2008 Added "Vostok Ice Core" and my paper,
entitled "A Simple Method to Correct Carbon Dioxide Concentrations in Ice Core
Data for Ice / Gas Age Difference Perturbations." It ultimately suggests
that CO2 ice-core data used as evidence of AGW is compromised.
13/4/2008 "Responsibility" page was added. This is an essay
on the personal responsibility of each and every
scientist.
9/4/2008 "NOAA Atmospheric CO2" page was added, which
highlights some differences between Mauna Loa and Global data
sets.
6/4/2008 Added more quotes and
commentary.
5/4/2008 Added "Quotes &
Comments" page.
11/3/2008 Combined "More Coincidences" into
"Coincidence?" page and added another example, this time geomagnetic field
intensity in Toronto overlaying Global Temperature Anomaly. Also, some
additions and clarity to the "Predictions" page.
30/1/2008 Added "More Coincidences?"
section.
29/1/2008 Added more references to "Global Warming"
section. Also made some minor revisions to the text.
28/1/2008 Added "Coincidence?" section. Is it
coincidence that the change in the Earth's magnetic field correlates well with
changes in global temperatures?
29/1/2007 I have made a few predictions and recorded
them here. They are not exactly profound, nor necessarily unique, but I
feel they are worth recording. Afterall, if they are not recorded then how
can you be sure that they were predicted?
30/10/2006 Added analysis showing rates of change for
each month over entire data set.
29/10/2006 Initial analysis of monthly CET climate
data was added.
