FORZA BARRY!
LINNETS HERITAGE
This part of the website is perhaps a little more
controversial than the rest.
Virtually
everybody that's either a fan of the newly formed Barry FC, or merely curious, will invariably
also be a fan of Barry Town AFC. We're NOT Barry Town AFC, and have no official connections
with that club. However, since the Barry Town Supporters' Club to all intents and purposes
'divorced' Barry Town AFC and changed itself from a supporters network at one club, to a
football club in its own right, there is an emotional connection with the 'Old Club'. This is all
unofficial, I'm merely a fan of both teams doing this.
I know longer watch or support Barry Town
AFC of course, let's make that clear from the off, but I can't cut myself off from what has
gone before. I still collect anything to do with Barry Town AFC, from programmes to tickets,
and I still enjoy researching Barry Town's history. Hey, if they don't do it, who will?
This section then will slowly turn into the part of the website that will handle bits and
bobs from Barry Town's, sometime glorious, often turbulent past. I'm going to start off though by
looking at a few of the players that really made a difference for Barry AFC or Barry Town AFC down the years, players that should be celebrated - not forgotten.
