The Art Market at The Rising Sun happens every few months in the intimate settings of the Rising Sun Arts Centre. We generally have between 12 and 14 exhibitors and show painting, drawing, printing, photography, sculpture and some craft work with the emphasis on the handmade and original.
Our next two markets are:
SATURDAY 26TH APRIL
& SATURDAY 5TH JULY
Artists (or groups of artists) are charged £10.00 per space (a trestle/wallpapering table or a more sturdy 4’ by 2’ table and 4‘ wide by 7‘ tall grid wall for hanging) and at the end of the day we ask for 20% of takings to go to the Rising Sun Arts Centre (The Rising Sun is a small, participatory art centre, run by volunteers - have a look at www.risingsun-artscentre.co.uk for more details). The Art Market is open from 10.30 - 4.30 and artists are invited to arrive from 9.00am in order to set up before doors open. All work then has to be packed up and out of the building before the next event begins to set up at 6.00pm. Artists are responsible for their work and transactions during the day (either manning the tables themselves or having arranged for someone to man the table for them).Please contact us using the details to the left if you are interested in showing your work or would like more information.
