SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

 

MINUTE OF MEETING 28th SEPTEMBER 2006

 

PRESENT: Per Sederunt sheet.

 

Item 1   Apologies :-    Eaglesham, Parklands & Libby Hamilton.

           

                                   

Item 2            Proposed Changes to the Constitution:-              

                 Jim McCulloch explained the situation and explained how he thought the meeting should progress.

 

                 However before any discussion was held it was proposed that it may save if we first had a vote on whether the new scoring system should be adopted. If this is accepted then we would progress to discussion on the other issues. This proposal was accepted by the meeting.

 

                 A vote was held with the following result:-

 

                 For the proposal to adopt the new scoring system                  9 votes.

                 For Status Quo                 9 votes.

 

                 Since a two thirds majority of the votes cast are required to make a change to the Constitution the proposal fell.

 

                 The old scoring system will be used for all matches and tournaments run by the Association.

 

                 No further discussion took place.
