Derbyshire ladies triumph in the ELGA Senior Ladies Regional Tournament at Came Down, Dorset. Despite the weather conditions Elizabeth Brammeld and Trixie Ayres both returned a gross score of 88 on the first day and were joint leaders in Division B (11 to 20 HC ). On the 2nd day Elizabeth returned another 88 gross, so winning the Silver Salver for the best gross 36 hole competition and £60 in vouchers , Trixie won the overall prize for over 65 age group. Marie Watson returned an 89 on the second day and together with her first round score won the 2nd best nett in Division B. What a success for Derbyshire , perhaps the northern weather conditions we usually play in helped us to our success.
