Derbyshire Ladies’ County Golf Association
Welcome to the Senior Section of the web site.
We hope to report on all the events for the Seniors throughout the season and illustrate these with photographs.
We welcome any Derbyshire lady golfer of 50 years of age(or over) with a handicap of 13 or below. I am Roma Wilcock, the Seniors Captain for 2009, I have a list of 40 players in this category that
has been taken from the lists sent back to the County Captain from your Handicap Secretary at the end of last season. If you feel that you have been missed, please contact me by email
To those of you who know little about the Seniors, we came about 12
Years ago because of the decision of the Derbyshire Vets to make their qualifying age 60 and there was a little competitive golf in the County for the lower handicap 50 year olds. We are not funded at all by the County Association and pay for ourselves including a green fee if applicable for the matches. There is a Seniors Championship with a trophy donated by Margaret Mason, 5 inter-county friendly matches and matches against the County Squad and the Derbyshire Men's Seniors.
