trees:

Trees make up the framework of my garden, giving height and structure, while providing cover for wildlife too. Even in my fairly small garden,i have managed to squeeze a surprising number of trees.I have planted these around my boundary, to create a belt of cover around the edges of my plot, within which wildlife can travel in relative security.

I have chosen my trees because of their value to wildlife. If my garden was large enough i would love to be able to plant an Oak tree, but i wouldn`t live long enough to see it mature! So,i have been sensible when choosing them, because you have to be realistic and work with the space that you have available.
Trees can add interest all year round. Many trees in my garden bear fruit or berries that provide food for wildlife Trees like Holly and Hawthorn provide a safe nesting place within their prickly foliage

my favourite trees for wildlife:

Alder
Alder Buckthorn
Blackthorn
Buckthorn
Silver Birch
Wild Cherry
Hawthorn
Hazel
Holly
Mountain Ash/Rowan
Willow
