This nest box was designed and built to study nesting birds around schools, study centres and in our gardens, it’s an absolute joy, and the results are fantastic. Once inhabited you will find yourself hooked on watching these fascinating creatures at work, from building their nest to raising their young. The knowledge you will gain from studying birds in this close up way is fantastic, and it may even help us to understand as to why some species are now becoming endangered!

	This kit is perfect for schools and study centres, as it is a tried and tested design. The entrance hole is over the recommended 120mm from the base and the internal nesting area is 150mm x 125mm x 245mm. The cable supplied is brown or Black and is a massive 50 metres in length. Connecting the box could not be easier to do, just connect the cable to the underside of the nest box using the thumbscrews. The other end is then connected to the power supply dc connector, and to your AV equipment (TV / Video recorder in your home) by phono connectors as used on the AV inputs on your TV or using a scart adaptor (optional). The camera used is a customised miniature wired mono (black & White) infrared camera and uses 4 high brightness infrared LED’s, which give off no visible light, so as not to disturb the birds. The advantage of my camera design allows the nest box to be smaller and less balky, also the fact that it needs only 4 infrared LED’s means there is minimal heat given off by the camera, unlike lager cameras that run hot and raise the temperature in side the box making it stuffy. Its pre installed and focused for ease! The picture is clear at 380 tvl and the sound is crisp due to its sensitive microphone, the camera uses very little power (around 120mA at 9v dc) and will give you pictures and sound day or night.
The nest box is made of external plywood it also has a felt roof for improved weather resistance, and is painted in two coats of a long lasting and non-toxic paint that is safe for birds and animals. The entrance to the nest box is 28mm as standard, but I can supply holes or an open face depending on the species you hope to attract:  25 mm for blue, coal and marsh-tit, 28 mm for great-tit, tree sparrows and pied flycatchers, 32 mm for house sparrows, nuthatches and lesser spotted woodpeckers, 45 mm for starlings, 50 mm for great spotted woodpeckers Tell me when you send your delivery info.
	These photos do not give this nest box justice, it is fantastic, and is ready to install straight from the box. There is also a facility for a normally closed tamper alarm output if required. The power supply is a regulated 7.5 / 9 volts DC using a 240V ac to DC psu. All of my products are soak tested for 24 hours, All parts come with a 1 year warranty.
