The microscopic creatures will come naturally to your pond. These provide food

for larger water life in the pond and are very impoHydrartant. You can speed this

process up by getting a bucket of water and mud from an

established pond but not from a public pond such as in the

park. However if this is not possible doesn’t matter because

as I said they will come naturally. One quite common and well known type of

microscopic life form in the pond is the Hydra. Hydras can be found almost

anywhere in clean water. These life forms cling to rocks or plants and

reproduce asexually and sexually.

Another type of well known Water Flea and common microscopic life form is the water flea.

This life form is transparent and there are 80 species of them in

England They range in size from a few microns to 5 millimetres.

These are probably the first water life you will get in your pond

and they come in their 1000s.
