What will I Need?

Nothing to worry about.

There's no need to worry about the technicalities of your website, as I will handle them all. However, you might want to read the simple explanations below to give you an idea of what is required.

A Host.

Your website can't live on your own computer, if it did, no one would be able to see it, so it has to have somewhere where it can be installed so that it is accessible to the world in general. There are many companies which provide such a service, called "web hosting" companies. I will choose a suitable host for your website, or help you to find one if you happen to have your own preference.

A Name.

You need a "www" name for your website. It's not absolutely necessary, but it's so cheap these days, there seems no reason not to. The price of a name varies depending on the suffix you want; ".co.uk" is very cheap, ".com" or ".info" and others more expensive. See the pricing page. You can have any name you want, so long as it's not already being used by someone else.

The Website Software.

The software for the website is divided between the parts the visitor sees, and the background mechanisms which actually do the work. This is all developed by me based on your requirements. You will be given a copy of the software, on completion, and the working website will be established on the Web Host.
