Three members of Newark CTC: Nicholas Green, Mike Graham and Peter Robinson set out (after serious training) to ride the Land's End to John-O-Groat's route last year. Mike had completed the ride twenty years ago and wished to repeat the experience.

All three riders wanted to help two local charities: Newark Hospice Aid and the Orchard School for children with learning disabilities. Despite suffering from possibly the worst weather of the summer, they completed the ride in two weeks.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from family, friends and colleagues, a sum of £1700 was raised and presented to the two charities.
