Back in 1975, plans for the Saladin class destroyer were published in the Star Fleet Technical Manual. Other plans for the destroyer have been published since then, one of which I have reproduced above.
This ship never actually appeared in Star Trek, but I always rather liked it so I decided to build my own version. I moved the main deflector and gave it the older style of warp engine, but otherwise I've been pretty faithful to the original concept.
