Introduction
Train your forces, select their weapons, buy ships, transport goods, set tax-rates, control ore mining and agricultural production, spy on the enemy, terraform new planets, and wage war...
Control civilians and military in real-time across an entire solar system in an epic struggle for supremacy. Intelligent aliens grow in strength as the game progresses, magnetic storms sweep the system, scientific discoveries are made, and worlds are won or lost. All of this and much, much more in the largest OPL game ever produced for EPOC, and the first colour game released. A game which has received universal acclaim, from a 5* rating from PsionKing, to a massive score of 92% from Epocalypse.
Dark Horizon - why build up cities when you can burn down planets?

Updates
14.04.00
Another annoying bug - an error in the load/save procedure. Now fixed in v1.22. Sorry for all the updates...
02.04.00
Bah! I forgot to include the necesarry OPX files in v1.20, and there was an error in the message display procedures. These have been fixed, and nothing else has been changed. Sorry for the minor update!
28.03.00
v1.20 is finally unveiled. This release is targetted at the number of alternative EPOC devices that are currently becoming available. The game was originally released when only the S5 & MX were available. Since then, the S7 and REVO have debuted. In this release, around 30-40% of the code has been rewritten to support these devices, and any others that should ever be released. There's a fair few other features added - interface tweaks, reduction in size of the artwork by a good 35%, etc. A lot of the annoying features present in un-registered versions of the game have also been removed - hopefully tempting people to play the game for longer, and to register it ;)
Original S5 owners might notice the game is a litle slower than previous versions. This is due to the new interface design that dynamically adjusts the placement of labels, etc. on the screen. It was the only way to support all of the available EPOC devices without releasing separate versions of the game, and, unfortunatley has a side-effect that roughly equates to a 3% performance hit. Apologies for this, but the added features should make up for it...

v1.11 released...
Not much in this release, the colour artwork pack has been updated to fix a clipping issue on the Training screen, and the main game has had the "Land" toolbar button bug removed.
21.09.99
v1.10 is a major update, with around a quarter of the code rewritten/changed. The screen is touch-sensitive throughout, has extra toolbars at the top, and view-dependant toolbars down the sides. The gameplay has been tweaked, a couple of minor bugs have been fixed, and a few new features have been added.
15.07.99
v1.01e update patch is available for download here . This patch forces compatibility with ExtraBars, which appears not to like the space in application title; resulting in a "Dark.opo not found error". This patch should only be used if you have had problems with starting the game. It adds nothing else to the game at all, and requires v1.01 to be installed previously.

v1.01 is released...
Many minor updates have been made. Most notably the speeding up of saving games (by a factor of between 5 and 10 times), and the busy message of "Saving..." to assure the user the game hasn't hung.
05.07.99
Well, it's finally arrived...
I think it was worth the wait. The e-mails I've had from people who've tried it backs this up. And most importantly, the fact I've had some registrations already assures me that people aren't just trying to be nice to me.
"Where to go from here?" you may ask. Well, there are a few things that I want to change about the game. Nothing worth releasing a new version yet; but enough minor changes to be noticeable - I've just got to wait for somebody to find a bug before I implement them. There's a couple of add-on things I might write as well if interest is high enough. The main one of these being a saved-game editor.
Anyway, if you have any feedback on the game / bug-reports / suggestions, etc. please mail them to me.
