History of altervisitor.com

Altervisitor.com began life in 1997 as a single page, providing descriptions and downloads for my original three Symbian OS applications: Klax5, Murphy 5, and Columns (in that order). This went through a redesign & rebuild in 1998 to a more technological look and feel, making use of the uptake of newer browsers.

Another complete reworking took place in 1999, ensuring that the site would work as well on Psion (Symbian OS) devices, as well as desktop browsers. This version of the site saw the addition of Altervisitor.com's initial consultancy and web-design services, along with articles on EPOC-32 (as it was then called) programming, and other topics, and finally the portfolio that still exists (unchanged) today.

This was replaced and expanded at the end of 2001 with the previous 'green' design, with sections on ASP/DNA development and articles. This was updated through 2002, 2003, and 2004 with the addition of details on further software, articles, and books.

This was finally replaced in October 2004 with the current visual refresh and sorting of all the content into more logical areas.
