May 2003: Annette's kitchen gets a makeover.
We finally got around to deciding to have the kitchen done and
visited Barras Home Improvements for their help.
After leaving a rough set of measurements of the existing room
with them, they designed a new kitchen for us and we were invited back for some
fine tuning of the layout and to choose the cupboard fronts. We were shown an
illustrative computer simulation of what our kitchen may look like, which was
very useful as it was impossible to visualise it otherwise.
Following a visit to our home to confirm the design was
appropriate, we gave them the go ahead to do the work and then spent a Saturday
afternoon in their showroom choosing the floor tiles, wall tiles and the
worktops.
Work commenced on Monday May 19th, with a promised completion
date of Friday May 30th. We were very impressed with the courtesy and
professionalism shown by all the workmen who worked on the different aspects of
our kitchen. And they finished the job when they said they would.
We are not associated with Barras nor sponsored by them. We
are just very satisfied customers. Visit them at
