To provide the right atmosphere and equal opportunities in which your child can develop and learn through play in a happy and safe environment. Playgroup is in a beautiful setting with good facilities, just made for children to have fun while they learn.

 

STAFFING

The group supervisors, Kim Doleman and Lucinda Tongue, work together as a team with the rest of the staff.

 

PLAYGROUP IS A REGISTERED CHARITY

Playgroup is run by a committee, which is made up of parents and staff. Parents could help by becoming a member or join in their social and fundraising events.

The accommodation comprises of a large and small playroom

 

 

 

 

 

 

and an enclosed outdoor play area, which includes grass and hard surface

 

 

 

 

 

 

FACILITIES

Children have access to topic work, books, craft/art materials, music, sand, puzzles, baking, role-play, wheeled toys and bikes, a playhouse plus lots more.

 

ATTENDANCE AGE

Children must be at least 2 years and 9 months old before they can attend.

 

SESSIONS

The sessions are held daily from Monday to Friday.

 

Morning

Afternoon

9.15 am to 11.45 am

1.15pm to 3.45pm

 

 

LUNCH

Longer day care is provided where children can stay for lunch. Parents provide the packed lunch.

 

CURRICULUM

Playgroup receives funding for the education of children from 3-5 years. Activities and experiences are planned to help each child progress in their development and learning within the National curriculum guidance for the foundation stage. Parents are informed of the years topics and are welcomed to talk to staff if they have anything to share or input relating to these areas.

 

QUERIES/HELP

Parents are welcome to join staff/children at circle time for a coffee/chat about their child any morning between 10.45 and 11.15.

Management/staff/committee are available anytime to help parents.
