School Friendship Awards.
Recently SAMRA approached Mudeford Junior School in order to make some form of donation. The school put it to the School Council who requested that they would like two friendship awards to be awarded on a termly basis to a students who befriended and assisted fellow pupils. Unsure quite what to buy on the trophy front we put it back to the children to come up with some design ideas. We were inundated by the response of over 140 designs from which we selected a winner and two runners-up for both the upper school and lower school.
SAMRA member, Bert Raven, a dedicated, amateur woodcarver offered his services to craft these wonderful designs to bring the trophies into fruition.

Bert has now completed both trophies and they were presented to the Headmaster of the Junior School at the SAMRA AGM on Friday 25th September.
