Poetry
Peter Read is a well-known performance poet who has performed throughout Britain and in the USA. He has had five poetry books published. Between the Mountain and the Mine; Sandblasters; Over Milkwood, God's Botherer and Read Only plus several works in poetry magazines.

Many of his most popular performance poems are included, such as Dai Vest, For Owen Gruffudd Dodd Aged Three Hours and Modern Jousting. Additionally included are the poems which won the 2007 John Tripp Award, those which have been recorded on radio, as well as many new ones.

In November 2007, he won the biennial Academi John Tripp Award for Spoken Poetry for the best performance poet in Wales.

In August 2006 , he performed his poetry at the American and Canadian Welsh festival in Cincinnati , Ohio , along with his one-man show, Dylan Thomas in America

In February 2006, his series of four programmes on the subject of Romantic Poetry was broadcast on Radio Wales

In July and August 2005 a short series of programmes about the History of Poetry was broadcast on Radio Wales

God's Botherer was published by Swansea Poetry Workshop in 2001. It is a collection of forty poems.
