Trow Pool
Collapsed footpath and breached weir- an update 12/3/07
The weir is being fixed and the work has now started. It will involve steel sheets being piled along the south bank and a new weir with sluice gate being built which will regulate the water level and solve the problem of the existing collapsed weir. The work is expected to take about 3 weeks from 12/3/07 and during this period you will not be able to fish within the red shaded area as shown below. We apologize for this restriction but once the work is complete, Trow Pool will be a much better place to fish, walk and enjoy the country side.
There will be machinery and other hazards while the work is in progress, so please do not venture into the red shaded area.

Below is the previous weir update, posted in December 2006:
Due to the heavy prolonged rain in December 2006, a section of footpath has collapsed near to the weir -see photo below. You can still fish but are unable to use the footpath near the weir (jetty side). Warning signs are in place and if you need any help or guidance please contact us through this website. The footpath and weir are going to be fixed soon so please bear with us.
