Welcome to the Newport Surfers Site
How It All Began!!
Well it all began back in June 2003. Three extremely good looking chaps had
been on holiday for a week down Hendra Holiday Park In Newquay Cornwall with
there wives and children. After downing vast large amounts of Strongbow they
were starting to feel a bit worse for wear. Then on the Thursday they went
to Fistral beach and decided to hire out some wet suits and some boards. We
tried for surf boards but ony managed to get out hands on some over size ironing
boards. After beating off all the women they finally made it to the water
to start something that would change there lives for ever. I cant remember
who caught the first wave (probably me though) but you could here the screams
of pleasure off the three of us back home in Wales.
The next day we searched the streets of Newquay looking for boards to buy.
We came across the NSP mini mals and snapped them up. Back home we had a lesson
and was on our way , no looking back. We try to get out as often as possible
or when steveo's overtime schedule lets him have 5 mins
You will find us down rest bay or one of the other beaches around that area
or down Llangenith. In the summer we will be plying our trade back down Cornwall
way .
Our main aim is to surf all welsh beaches that produce a wave.
