Willow was extremely shy when she first met Buffy and found out she was the Slayer. She always helped with computer hacking, research doing and started with a little witchcraft.

She has been Buffy's best friend for 6 years.

She always had a need for companionship - she immediately filled the place of Buffy's sidekick, she was always secretly in love with Xander. Then she fell madly in love with Oz who became a werewolf who had to leave because he wanted to be able to control his primal instincts and now she spends a lot of time with fellow-witch Tara.

Willow has played a big part recently in fighting evil using magic.

Buffy's death seriously affected Willow but she brought her back to life, and when she found out Buffy was in heaven she did a spell to make her forget. Tara left her because she was doing too much magic and Buffy got her memory back.

All the Scooby Gang were worried about Willow using magic and she used even more when she de-ratted Amy the witch.

Willow got addicted but managed to quit after almost getting Dawn killed. She ended her friendship with Amy and tried to make amends with Tara. Willow is still constantly fighting her battle with temptation to do magic.

However when Tara was shot by Trio leader Warren and died, Willow lost all sense of reason to not use magic. She went major witchy and killed Warren. She tried to kill the Scoobies and even Giles tried to stop her with magic he was given. Willow stole his magic and it tapped into her humanity. She still tried to end the world to stop the feeling of pain but Xander, the loyal, stopped her and stopped her use of magic.

Willow went to England with Giles and learnt how to control her magic. She returned to Sunnydale and fights with the Scoobies. She doesn't use her magic often but when she does she often goes slightly dark.
