West of Scotland Kung Fu teaches traditional Chinese Kung Fu, Lan Jung Kuen, which incorporates hand to hand combat techniques, strengthening exercises and traditional Chinese weaponry such as the knife, bo staff, spear, to name but a few.

Kung Fu training can help every person from all walks of life to get fit, healthy, lose weight, gain strength, become leaner, improve suppleness, gain awareness & confidence and help concentration. Kung Fu can also help with balance and make the core muscles of the body become stronger to help in alleviating or preventing backache.

The club has been based in the Meadow Sport Centre in Dumbarton for a few years now and we have produced good martial artists and competition fighters. We also train at Kirkintilloch.
