 | 1980/81 - 'Singing for Pleasure' sessions in the villages of
Kensworth, Studham and Whipsnade were set up by Mrs Marion Rowlatt, a local music teacher
and profession singer. |
 | 9th September 1981 - The Four Villages Choir was formed
(Encorporating Kensworth, Studham, Whipsnade and Dagnall) The conductor was Marion
Rowlatt. The gave regular concerts locally until 1984. |
 | January 1984 - The North Chiltern Choir conducted by Marion
Rowlatt was formed - An Almagamation of the Four Villages Choir and the Eaton Bray Choir. |
 | 7th June 1991 - Marion Rowlatt moved away from the area and John
Tournay took over the 'baton' until his resignation through ill health in early 1993. |
 | 1993/1994 - The choir continued to give concerts under the
'baton' of Mervyn Bury and then Sandra Johnson of Dunstable. |
 | 1995 - Present Day - Mrs Liz Hillyard became director of music
and continues in this role to the present day |
 | 2001 - The choir changed its name to North Chilterns Chorus |
