Ramblers Holidays

Since 1946, Ramblers Holidays have been organising holidays for those interested in walking, whether at home or abroad.  All profits not required for running the business are covenanted annually to a charitable trust from which the Ramblers' Association can draw funds to support its work in helping to preserve and maintain footpath access to our magnificent British countryside.

The Ordnance Survey is the obvious first choice for maps.  The website includes information on the various mapping products available and if you want you can order online.

The National Trust

The National Trust acts as a guardian for the nation in the acquisition and protection of threatened coastline, countryside and buildings.

English Heritage

English Heritage exists to protect and promote England's spectacular historic environment and ensure that its past is researched and understood.

The Countryside Agency

The Countryside Agency brings together all the different countryside dimensions – economic, environmental, community and enjoyment into a single national body: to achieve sustainable development in the countryside.  The Countryside Agency is the statutory champion and watchdog working to make:
