If you're interested in one of the books featured on this site, but don't want to buy a copy, why not see if you can borrow a copy from your local library instead?
Most UK and US libraries now have websites that allow you to search their catalogues online, so that you can check that they have the book that you want before you visit.
If they do have the book, many library sites will allow you to place a "hold" on a book so that no one else can borrow it before you pick it up, and if they don't have the book, they may be able to request a copy from another branch. If you are borrowing the book on a child's library card these 'holding' services are usually provided FREE of charge!*
To help you find your local library website, the following web pages contain listings of public library websites in the UK and the US.
*I understand thatthese services are also provided free of charge to adult card holders in the US, but adult card holders in the UK may have to pay a small fee.
