Abergavenny

Following the success of the Brooklands Memorial Races last August a second rail race was held at Abergavenny, in the Social Club of the Nevill Hall hospital. This is the original home of the track and where it was constructed. The most significant change to the track since the Brooklands 2000 event is the addition of a computer controlled timing system. Thanks to unremitting work by Phil Barry the track was much smoother and the lap times reflected this, being on average a second faster. The race was held on Sunday the 21st of January and also featured a Rally Stage, held on a special track constructed by Andy Meredith. |
