Updated Sunday, 07 February 2010 Welcome to the 'Birds of Greater Glasgow' web site. It provides: - information, including recent reports, on some of my favourite birdwatching sites in Greater Glasgow. - forthcoming events that should be of interest to bird watchers. Includes information courtesy of: - RSPB Glasgow Local Group members; - SOC Clyde Branch Grapevine and Birdline Scotland; - Glasgow City Council Countryside Rangers; and - individuals, including myself, Jim Coyle.
IMPORTANT With the current cold spell it is important that we all try and provide food and water for birds - see www.rspb.org.uk for ideas. If you do so you may be lucky enough to attract birds such as Fieldfare, Redwing, Brambling, Siskin and Reed Bunting, all of which have been seen in our garden in Anniesland, Glasgow in January 2010.
