Encampments
The first meeting of the Preceptory was held in the Temperance Hall, Waterside, Londonderry on Thursday 28th September 1893.
When the Temperance Hall in the Waterside closed in 1896 the Preceptory decided to meet at 47 Clooney Terrace. The first meeting in the new Encampment was on the 27th May 1896 and it met their until 30th December 1898

From the 18th February 1898 the Preceptory was encamped in the Victoria Hall.

The Unionist Party must have owned or had control of Victoria Hall but as from this date City of Londonderry Temperance L.O.L. 1007, Royal Union L.O.L. 1166 and Foyle Defenders R.B.P. 237 took control of the hall. The Preceptory paid two instalments of £20 as part of the agreement. Sir Knts. Blair, Walker and Ferguson were appointed as Hall Trustees for the Preceptory. Sir Knts. McIntyre, Harrison, McConnell and Simpson were appointed to the Hall Committee.




The Victoria Lodge Room was Officially opened and Dedication by Wor. Bro. Robert Saulters, Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland on Saturday 16th April 1997. Wor. Sir Knight Rev. David Brown M.A., City of Londonderry Royal Black District Chapter No. 2 Chaplain assisted.
Foyle Defenders RBP No. 237 continue to the present day to meet in the Victoria Lodge Room at 47 Bonds Street, Londonderry on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Any visiting Sir Knight will be given a most hearty welcome.
