• Texas C30 DSP
  Ivo Oesch was looking for a public domain C compiler for the TMS320C30. He could not find one, so he has started to add support for this processor to the compiler. We believe that this is relatively complete, but are unable to verify this as we do not have access to the relevant hardware. Anyone who is particularily interested in this variant of the compiler is recommended to get contact Ivo Oesch directly.

• ARM
  The development of support for the ARM processor started some time ago, but has never been completed due to lack of a specific requirement to give us the impetus to devote real effort to this. We do at the moment have access to a suitable hardware environment in the form of an Acorn Archimedes to do testing on.

  I suspect the thing that may be most likely to get us to complete this development is the launch of the next model in the Psion PDA range that is intended to supersede the current Psion Series 3a range. This model - normally called the Psion 4 for discussion purposes - is believed to be using an ARM based processor. Adding ARM support to this would mean that we could take our CPOC development forward to this new machine.

• Power PC
  The source contains skeleton modules ready to add Power PC support. However this has never progressed beyond the skeletal level. We have the documentation on the Power PC processor and its instruction set, but no Power PC based machine. If we ever get one, then we might have an incentive to get the support for Power PC into full working order.

• SPARC
  The C68 source mentions a number of places that a SPARC version is being thought about. The source had these comments when we inherited it, and they have never been removed. However no work has been done by us towards a SPARC version. This is a bit ironic as much of the editing and testing is actually done on SPARC based machines running Unix SVR4.
