Chilli in England

Well, today was an exciting day, we came to to the New Forest. I was woken up very early for this, but it was worth it!

We set off at 8am, and drove for 3 hours....

At about 11am, we arrived in the New Forest; it is very pretty. Because we couldnt go to our caravan until 3pm, we decided to do some looking around, and so we went to a local owl sanctuary PICT0002.jpg PICT0004.jpg

The had some very cool owls there, like these ones: PICT0005.jpgPICT0006.jpg

but THIS onePICT0008.jpg, although you cant see him well, lets just say i could virtually SEE the word "dinner" pass through his mind! Leanne protected me though, and we went on to watch a flying display.

Unfortunately, the batteries on the camera ran out half way through and the spares were in the car, or there would have been more photos of that.

After the owl sanctuary, we went to see a Roman Villa, but we got ost onthe way, as it wasnt signposted, so following our OS map, we turned down a little road that was *so* little, that it had grass growing down the middle of it, and it was only big enoough for one car. It was pretty though. Well, we found the villa ok, and these are the pictures from there. The first one is of the underfloor heating that the Roman's had, and the second and third are mosaic floors.

By the way, the one with brown hair is Lynne, and the one with red hair is Leanne.

After we got bored of that, we decided that it was time to go to our caravan and unpack, so thats just what we did. We followed unpacking with a barbeque, and then afterwards, we went down to the river.

This was the view in the forest on the way home: PICT0035.jpg PICT0039.jpg

When we got home, we were very tired, so we had a drink, and then went to bed.

Wow, what a first day away from my new home!
