The Pocket Pikachu color is a neat little gadget for any pokemon fan. It's basically a tamagotchi style interactive pet starring eveyones favourite pokemon pikachu.

The device itself has a pedometer built in so when you clip it to your belt and walk, pikachu walks with you. Each step you take earns watts which you can give to him to make him happy. Pikachu has many funny and interesting animations which change depending on what time you watch him at. Also the pocket pikachu color works with the Pocket monster gold & silver games.

There is a infared port at the top of the unit which allows you to communicate with the infared port on the gameboy color. Using this allows you to get items from the gb games to give to pikachu and vice versa.

This was the first edition which was released in clear grey. Also note that the packaging is brilliant compared to the crappy western versions.

They also released a clear blue/white limited edition but i have no info on how you obtained it, i know it's pretty rare as i had never seen one before prior to buying this one.

There are 2 more colour variations that i know of, the silver/gold colour changing edition that was only available from the pokemon centres in japan (also incidentally was the same colour used for the western versions of pocket pikachu colour) and the solid blue/white edition that i have no idea where it was available from.
