Several parishes outside of Herefordshire, which have an HR postcode, have also been indicated - these are shown by the relevant symbol for their Post Town as well as the symbol to indicate they are not in Herefordshire. [Some places shown on the postcode lists at postcode-info.co.ukwere not recognised by Genmap and therefore have not currently been shown.]  |

Information used to allocate Urban Areas to counties derived mainly from Genuki.The historical county code has been added to the Urban Areas (UAs) but not to the places classed as counties on the census 2001 site, purely to distinguish the two types of area, whilst still allowing readers to see where I have allocated the UA totals.

If the English Regional totals are summed, the difference between that figure and the total population allocated for England using the postcode districts is 23,520. As can be seen from the difference in the overall Welsh total, this is largely accounted for by some misallocation between the two countries, as mentioned in the evaluation. The remaining difference of 10 is due to rounding of the figures in the official Key Statistics for Postcode Sectors.
