How to Enrol for a Course

Enrolling by post

Enrolling by telephone

You may be able to enrol by telephone for some courses. Ring the branch contact to ask.

Enrolling at the first class

Enrolling by post or phone helps ensure you a place. If there are vacancies after postal and phone enrolments are completed, you can enrol at the first class. Please arrive 15 minutes before the class is due to start. If you are unsure how to enrol, please phone the branch contact to ask.

Concessions

Please contact the Branch Contact for details of concessions that may be claimed.

Learner Support Fund

No income/Low income?

If your gross household income is under £15,276 or you receive means-tested benefits, you can apply for help with course fees, travel, child/dependant care, etc.

Terms and Conditions

Changes

The WEA cannot be liable for unavoidable changes in premises or tutor.

Course Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel courses with below minimum enrolments, usually twelve.

Attendance

If attendance in a class drops to a point where the group is not viable it is possible that the class would be cancelled. The usual maximum enrolment for a course is 24 students but this may be less for specialist courses.

Refunds

If you withdraw from a course before the third meeting you will receive a refund less a charge for administration. If we cancel the course you will receive a refund. No refund of fees will be given after the third meeting.

Access

Not all our classes are wheelchair accessible, although we do try to make them so if possible. If you have any access needs and require more information about a venue please ask the branch contact.
