My Spitfire.

This model was 'built' from an ARTF (Almost ready to fly) kit.

It actually took about 4 months on and off to get together - the mechanical retracting undercarriage

was an absolute nightmare to get to work nicely. If you are contemplating retracts on your own model,

take my advice and go for air operated - running flexible tubes through the wings is a darn sight

easier than trying to smoothly run wire pushrods! 

 

The power plant is a OS 40LA 2 stroke - it could take a bigger engine but for realism in flight I think

it needs to be a little on the lower end of the power envelope - doesn't look right pulling 10G turns !

That young lady just can't keep out of a picture can she.
