My Rapier shown with the airframe completed and just awaiting covering and the engine installation. The Rapier was featured in a recent RCM&E magazine and the verdict was glowing. I wasn't quite so enamored - the eventual result was excellent (well by my standard anyway) but it took a lot of 'adjustments' to get it to fit together just right.

The finished model. Covering is solarfilm and the underside is done all in the green of the 'Elevons'. This is for orientation purposes as the model can be flown extremely fast and it is very easy to lose the shape of the fins when it is viewed fully 'on plan'

The engine is an Irvine SP40 with a 3/4 length tuned pipe. The engine revs to 14500 rpm and the speed at full throttle is ballistic.
