Welcome to Deefadal Dalmatians
We are Kay & Ian Martland and live in the Rossendale valley in Lancashire, with access to plenty of open countryside. We are members of The British Dalmatian Club, The North of England Dalmatian Club, The Dalmatians of North America Club & The British Carriage Dog Society & openly support the NUA dalmatians.
We were owned by our first dalmatian, Deefa, Lancashire Lass Kehelland, in 1988. We later added to our spotty family with, Druga, Frankish Lady Godiva,. Then in 2001 we were asked if we could take on a dally who had had several homes, and, after only a month in his current one was not wanted !! Well that’s how we got Merlin.
Then after losing Druga in the summer of 2006, it felt so strange only having one spotty. So, although we were going to go down the rescue route, we have to thank Jules & Anthony Burton for allowing us to have Dino, Hameldal Tribal Shadow & later, Jessica, Hameldal Distant Shadow. With these two, we feel, we have the qualities to produce the type of dalmatian we feel best fits the standard. With the granting of our kennel name our beloved Deefa will live for ever.
We feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to own dallies with the temperament, superb conformation and working ability that we feel should be present in all dalmatians.
