In 1993, after owning a couple of old rescue Afghans, we decided it was time to add to our spotty family, and we bought Druga (Yugoslavian for another one) from Mrs P M Somerwill who lived just up the road from us in Bacup.
We did hope to show her, but, she never took to ring craft classes, and then unfortunately, at the age of 6 months she was attacked by a greyhound. After that she was very wary of strange dogs, and had a habit, which we never managed to overcome, of barking at any strange dog she saw. Not what you want in a show dog.
She was always a sweety with people and the most obedient dally We have ever known. Even off the lead she would walk at your side, it was a shame that she didn’t like strange dogs.
We will always miss her.
