The new TT scale layout Smržovka at its third show in Barrow In Furness Easter 2007

Welcome

Most of the model railway layouts in these pages have been built and exhibited by a small group of friends based in Surrey, Kent and Sussex, in South East England (with one based in Cheshire in the North West of England).
There are a wide range of types of layout ranging from British to USA and now Czech republic, in scales ranging from N, TT, HO, OO9, OO, On30 to O and time periods from 1950's to the present day.
There is also a page dedicated to two different G gauge garden layouts.
Most of  the layouts have been designed to be transported by car to exhibitions . This allows us to exhibit the layouts some distance from our home area. The furthest shows we have either attended or due to attend, are places such as  Somerset,  Perthshire, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, East Anglia and the West Midlands and even to a few shows in Germany.

Bourne Valley has been used by the BBC for a programme in 2004.
Fort Myers has an article in the September 2005 issue of Continental Modeller and  in the September 2007 issue of Model Railroader. California Coast has appeared in the April 2006 issue of Continental Modeller. Severn D'Wharves has appeared in the October 2006 edition of Railway Modeller. Smrzovka  appeared in European Railway Magazine in December2006 / January 2007 issue and  in the Summer 2007 issue plus one photo in the Winter 2007 issue.

The layouts have also been designed (with further improvements currently being carried out) for speed of setting up and dismantling at shows and compactness in order to fit into as few a cars as possible. None of the layouts need vans to transport them. This enables us to arrive on the morning of the show rather than travel to the show on a busy Friday evening (if the show is not too far away).
New layouts are being constructed amongst us, so watch out for new ones appearing in the layout listings.
