This page currently lists the locos to be found operating on Fort Myers. All locos fitted with DCC decoders have working headlights. Virtually all locos have flush glazing, separate handrails and MU hoses added where they did not come already fitted.

Broadway Ltd Imports A recent addition to the roster, this loco comes with factory installed sound. It has been renumbered and detail changed to match that of the particular prototype.
SD80M CSX, yellow grey blue Kato A recent addition to the roster, this loco is had the already working ditchlights modified so that they can flash. A DH 163 Digitrax decoder has been fitted.

Proto 2000 This loco has had a 6 function decoder fitted to work the ditch lights, headlights and marker lights. It has had various details added to match photos of the prototype.

Athearn A modified Athearn loco fitted with flush glazing and a cab interior. Still needs weathering and under frame details added. Fitted with a Digitrax DH121 decoder.

Atlas Despite being a very nice model out of the box, this loco has been detailed and heavily weathered. It is fitted with a sound decoder by Soundtraxx.

Atlas Newest addition to the fleet this loco is currently undergoing modifications to correct the details fitted as standard by Atlas such as new plough and air conditioning unit. This loco comes ready fitted with an Atlas decoder.

Athearn  This was one of the first locos to be bought. It has been detailed and painted from an Undecorated Athearn loco. Full working front lights have been added, working off a Digitrax DH142 decoder. More under frame detail has been added, such as air reservoir pipework, new fuel filler, gauge etc.

The correct Leslie RSL 3 chime horns with all facing forward have been fitted using the Custom Finishes Kit numberH-221.

Athearn Part of a two loco special edition by Athearn, this loco has been detailed and weathered. More work has been carried out as above loco. Now fitted with a Loksound decoder.

Athearn This is the dummy loco in the special edition set. This loco is again undergoing under frame modifications. This loco has a shorter fuel tank then that supplied by Athearn so it has been swapped with GP38 number 2103 which should have a longer tank and will be paired with 411 to obtain power to the headlight from the decoder in 411.

Athearn Livery as supplied by Athearn in 2009, but the fuel tank has been modified to a more correct appearance. A Digitrax Sound bug and decoder fitted using the GP10 sound file.

Bachmann Working strobes have been fitted along with many detail improvements such as a complete new front buffer plate and snow plow. An N gauge Digitrax decoder has been fitted into the limited space inside the loco.

Athearn Under frame detail has been added to this loco using a Details West Kit. This loco is now fitted with a Loksound decoder with the correct 5 chime AMtrak horn sound.

Proto 2000 There wasn't much detail to add to this model. A replacement horn and side hood mounted bell have been added. A new decoder will be fitted to enable the ditch lights to work.

GP40 CSX stealth grey 6434 Athearn Modelled on the two locos seen at Wildwood, Florida in 1993. Fitted with a DH121 decoder. More detail has recently been added to the under frame, especially around the fuel tank. There is one lift ring missing on the side of this loco as per the prototype when photographed in 1993!
GP35 slug CSX stealth grey 2240 scratchbuilt This unit is paired with the above loco. It has a Cannon cab and end with a scratch built body fitted to the original Athearn walkway and chassis. The sound unit and box speaker for the pair of locos is fitted in this unit. A lot more work has recently been carried out on these two locos.

Athearn Livery as supplied by Athearn in 2008 but many modifications done such as correct RV type twin air cons on roof, horns antenna stand etc. This loco has also had the exhausts that protrude out of the long hood grilles added.  Tsunami sound decoder has also been fitted. The Tri Rail coaches that run with this have had the cab control car headlights etc added and a decoder installed
