This page currently lists the locos to be found operating on Fort Myers. All locos fitted with DCC decoders have working headlights. Virtually all locos have flush glazing, separate handrails and MU hoses added where they did not come already fitted.

SD40-2	CSX, yellow grey blue	8386	Broadway Ltd Imports	A recent addition to the roster, this loco comes with factory installed sound. It has been renumbered and detail changed to match that of the particular prototype.
SD80M	CSX, yellow grey blue		Kato	A recent addition to the roster, this loco is had the already working ditchlights modified so that they can flash. A DH 163 Digitrax decoder has been fitted.
SD70M	CSX, yellow grey blue	4685	Athearn Genesis	This loco has had modifications to represent the protoype. Photos of this and other CSX locos can be found on CSX Photo Archives
SD60M	CSX, yellow grey blue	8760	Proto 2000	This loco has had a 6 function decoder fitted to work the ditch lights, headlights and marker lights. It has had various details added to match photos of the prototype.
SW1500	Seaboard System	1126	Athearn	A modified Athearn loco fitted with flush glazing and a cab interior. Still needs weathering and under frame details added. Fitted with a Digitrax DH121 decoder.
GP 38	CSX, yellow grey blue	2121	Atlas	Despite being a very nice model out of the box, this loco has been detailed and heavily weathered. It is fitted with a sound decoder by Soundtraxx.
GP40	FEC, blue	401	Atlas	Newest addition to the fleet this loco is currently undergoing modifications to correct the details fitted as standard by Atlas such as new plough and air conditioning unit. This loco comes ready fitted with an Atlas decoder.
GP 40	FEC, blue	411	Athearn	This was one of the first locos to be bought. It has been detailed and painted from an Undecorated Athearn loco. Full working front lights have been added, working off a Digitrax DH142 decoder. More under frame detail has been added, such as air reservoir pipework, new fuel filler, gauge etc. The correct Leslie RSL 3 chime horns with all facing forward have been fitted using the Custom Finishes Kit numberH-221.
GP 40 -2	FEC blue, Speedway	447	Athearn	Part of a two loco special edition by Athearn, this loco has been detailed and weathered. More work has been carried out as above loco. Now fitted with a Loksound decoder.
GP 40-2	FEC blue, Speedway	445	Athearn	This is the dummy loco in the special edition set. This loco is again undergoing under frame modifications. This loco has a shorter fuel tank then that supplied by Athearn so it has been swapped with GP38 number 2103 which should have a longer tank and will be paired with 411 to obtain power to the headlight from the decoder in 411.
CF7	Florida Central, Red	47	Athearn	Livery as supplied by Athearn in 2009, but the fuel tank has been modified to a more correct appearance. A Digitrax Sound bug and decoder fitted using the GP10 sound file.
GP 7	South Central Florida, Orange	9010	Trains Unlimited	Modelled from photos taken at Clewiston, Florida, This loco has a working beacon light on the powered from a Digitrax DH142 decoder. A speaker has been installed ready for sound.
GP 9	Seminole Gulf Coast Railway, Blue	576	Proto 2000	A modified GP 18 (before the GP 9 was released by Life Like) repainted into the short line operator that operates out of Fort Myers. Fitted with a Digitrax DH121 decoder.
GP 9	Seminole Gulf Coast Railway, Blue	575	Proto 2000	A modified Life Like GP 9 now fitted with a new Life Like Quantum sound  chassis - excellent sound.
GP 9	Seminole Gulf Coast Railway, Blue	573	Trains Unlimited	This has been fitted with an interior, lit from a Digitrax DH121 decoder
Alco Century	Seminole Gulf Coast Railway, Blue	550	Atlas	A new addition in 2008, this loco has had its fuel tank modified and new horns fitted along with the usual detail enhancements. Also sound has been added.
Dash 8 -32 BWH	Amtrak	505	Atlas	This very nice Atlas loco has had working ditch lights fitted with a Digitrax replacement decoder. Further detail and weathering has been done.
F40 PH	Amtrak	297	Bachmann	Working strobes have been fitted along with many detail improvements such as a complete new front buffer plate and snow plow. An N gauge Digitrax decoder has been fitted into the limited space inside the loco.
P40	Amtrak	824	Athearn	Under frame detail has been added to this loco using a Details West Kit. This loco is now fitted with a Loksound decoder with the correct 5 chime AMtrak horn sound.
SD 40 -2	Family Lines	8067	Athearn	Heavily modified and weathered  loco modelled from photos taken in Wildwood, Florida in 1993. Fitted with a Digitrax DH121 decoder
SD 60	CSX, stealth gray	8700	Proto 2000	There wasn't much detail to add to this model. A replacement horn and side hood mounted bell have been added. A new decoder will be fitted to enable the ditch lights to work.
U36 C	Seaboard System	7302	Atlas	A repainted and weathered loco fitted with a Digitrax decoder
GP35	CSX, grey and blue	4211	Railpower body on Athearn Chassis	Not currently used as this loco' s wheels have been used on the GP 35 slug for pick ups. New wheels will be obtained and the loco will be fitted with a decoder.
C30-7	CSX, yellow grey blue	7806	Railpower body on Athearn Chassis	Heavily detailed fitted with a Digitrax DH121 decoder
GP38-2	Chessie, yellow	2103	Athearn	Repainted and detailed loco fitted with a Digitrax DH121 decoder. Underframe work has been carried out including a swap of underframes with FEC 445 in order to have the correct longer fuel tank as per the prototype.
GP40-2	CSX, grey and blue	6801	Athearn	A dummy loco that will be paired with a decoder fitted loco to get working headlights.
GP38-2	Seaboard Coast Line, black	2527	Athearn	A repainted and detailed loco. No decoder fitted at present
GP38-2	Seaboard Coast Line, black	2536	Athearn	A repainted and heavily detailed loco with working ditch lights using a Digitrax DH142 decoder.
AC44-9W	CSX, yellow blue grey	9037	Athearn	Heavily detailed and weathered. This loco is fitted with working ditch lights using a DH142 decoder.
GP40	CSX stealth grey	6434	Athearn	Modelled on the two locos seen at Wildwood, Florida in 1993. Fitted with a DH121 decoder. More detail has recently been added to the under frame, especially around the fuel tank. There is one lift ring missing on the side of this loco as per the prototype when photographed in 1993!
GP35 slug	CSX stealth grey	2240	scratchbuilt	This unit is paired with the above loco. It has a Cannon cab and end with a scratch built body fitted to the original Athearn walkway and chassis. The sound unit and box speaker for the pair of locos is fitted in this unit. A lot more work has recently been carried out on these two locos.
GP40-2	CSX, Yellow blue grey	6019	Athearn	Again another loco detailed and modified form photos taken at Wildwood, Florida in 1993. Fitted with a DH121 decoder.
GP40-2	CSX, Yellow blue grey	6037	Athearn	A dummy loco that will probably be paired with the above loco.
SD40	CSX grey with yellow nose	8304	Kato	A repainted and weathered and detailed loco fitted with a Digitrax decoder
SD40-2	CSX, Yellow blue grey	8001	Athearn	Modified and repainted loco. Yet to be fitted with a decoder.
MP15	CSX, Yellow blue grey		Atlas	Ready fitted sound loco from Atlas but now weathered and a few details added such as correct horns.
GP49	Tri Rail , blue red white	813	Athearn	Livery as supplied by Athearn in 2008 but many modifications done such as correct RV type twin air cons on roof, horns antenna stand etc. This loco has also had the exhausts that protrude out of the long hood grilles added.  Tsunami sound decoder has also been fitted. The Tri Rail coaches that run with this have had the cab control car headlights etc added and a decoder installed
