Booking a Course

Courses are run over one or two days working normal office hours. If this not convenient flexible hours are possible. Please contact us for further details. maximum number of students per course is 16.

How much will it cost?

Pricing depends primarily on the venue. If you are able to provide your own, suitable venue great savings can be made. Price of course includes first aid manuals and certification for each student. To discuss venue requirements and to obtain a competitive quote please contact us.

 

  One and Two Day Emergency First Aid for Babies and Children

These courses are designed for those working with children and babies and are of particular interest to child minders, creche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone involved with youth organisations. In both courses students will be continually assessed by the trainer and on successful completion will be awarded a certificate valid for 3 years. The 1 day course lasts 7 hours whilst the 2 day version is 12 hours long.

Definition of first aid

First aid in the workplace

Responsibilities of the appointed person

Primary assessment of casualty

Secondary assessment of casualty

Principles of resuscitation

Disorders of respiration

Airway obstruction and breathing disorders

The recognition and treatment of head injuries

The control of bleeding and treatment of shock.


What The Two Day Course Covers

As for the one day course plus:

Bones, joints and muscle injuries

Burns

Poisons

Bites and Stings

Childhood Conditions
