Yes folks, welcome to my page which is full of DooM goodies, all created by me!
There are also a few links to other DooM and first person shooter game sites.
Latest News:
11/03/2006:Hmm, I really have neglected this site haven't I? That's what happens when everything else takes over - work and ZDaemon in other words. Serpent-wise I've basically spat out unrefined versions of maps 01, 03 and 04 so far plus graphics etc. ZDaemon-wise I managed to release ZDCTFMP3 to European audiences (the American servers are in the grip of the purists hence no future for any new maps over there), I'm part of a group running our very own UK servers and am competing in the ZDOlympics (featuring a variety of unconventional ZD activites). And I've just been to see Scooter in concert this week (finally), courtesy of a group of us fans getting together and flying over to Germany to see them. Needless to say a great time was had. Hopefully I can make more progress on the first main area of Serpent, and eventually some screenshots will go up.
23/09/2005:OMG, an update precisely 6 months after the previous one. Which shows how busy I've been, heh (which also led to me giving up newstuff reviewing after 2½ years). I've bounced around various work roles, had an awesome weekend on a team building course run by the army, watched my footie team win promotion (in front of my very eyes) and the league a week later, discovered a laser tag arena in my back yard and been to visit some DooMers from my clan (:D). ZDaemon-wise I've been up and down, fighting in a political thunderstorm borne out of a new version, witnessed the birth of 4-way CTF and newschool 1-on-1 (making maps for both of course), leading the official 4-way CTF pack and I'm even running ZDCTF too! (phew!) And just a few minutes ago, after a year of trying, I've finally won the Intermediate 1-on-1 tourney! (w00t!) So where does all this leave Serpent: Resurrection? Well, all the new items, keys and spells work, along with that complex and impressive RPG system (but sadly neither it or RTC have moved forward for a good few weeks now). Once I get a break in ZDCTF activities, I'll start mapping for it.
23/03/2005:Well well well, a lot can happen in 2½ months - project wise, I've gotten textures/flats, puzzle items and weapon graphics done for Serpent, coding is next up. ZDaemon-wise, my skill has improved a lot, clan life gets more interesting and last night we won our first team DM tourney match (w00t!). I also joined Team Future last weekend, which is the most prestigious mapping team around, where I will be mapping for the critically-acclaimed RTC-3057 project (w00t!). And things are finally going right in Real-Life(tm) as I managed to land a job last week, one which starts in 1½ weeks (omg!!!). This will mean that Serpent will now take 2 years, reduced ZDaemon activity and possible threats to newstuff reviewing and ZDS mapping, but at the end of the day it's the real world that counts. And finally, I watched my footie team go top of the league last weekend too! Nice timing too, as they came just before my 25th birthday! (which was today, btw)
08/01/2005:I have put up the page for my new Hexen project, Serpent: Resurrection. I'm also making another map for the 3rd ZDaemon CTF map pack (w00t!) and am also entering a European CTF tourney next week (w00t!). And for once, a great footie result! (against the team that caused an annoying result in last season's play-offs, too).
25/12/2004:Super Sonic DooM has now been released. Download it from the SSD page! At the moment you'll need a special version of ZDoom to run it, this is available from the SSD page too. I've also set up a high score table (go to the SSD page) - simply take a screenie when the ending tells you to, and post it to me with the skill level you were playing on.
I'm now taking a short break to catch up on unplayed wads (including Community Chest 2) and to make some more CTF maps, too. Then I will start on my Hexen adventure!
06/12/2004:I have completed the 5 bonus stages of Super Sonic DooM (bar some tweaks and tests) and the project now enters the final stretch. Just general improvements and any fixes/changes resulting from the beta testing to go. If all goes well I shall release this on Christmas Eve - so download it then, stick it under the cyber-tree and open it the next day!
In other news, my meteoric rise in the ZDaemon community continues, with ZDaemon Sessions mapping (an organised weekly fragfest which will feature among other things, one new map from a rotation mapper) and possibly newstuff-style reviewing (heh) coming up next year, in addition to my recent ZDCTF map and joining the LG clan.
28/11/2004:Having come back from a weekend away, I now begin the final push towards completion of Super Sonic DooM. It's in the testing stages, but while that happens there's the matter of 5 bonus stages. In ZDaemon news, my ZDCTF map is definitely in the pack (some changes still need doing) and I've joined the a clan, the Limp Gimps (LG) - a primarily British-based clan that is respected in ZD circles (w00t!). Which will mean a lot more ZD activity for me, both playing and mapping. Links page updated.
13/11/2004:OMG that was quick! Well, it is only a small zone the last one. Anyway the screens are up, and I now have improvements, some gameplay and other stuff to do.
08/11/2004:I have completed the 14th zone of Super Sonic DooM and uploaded some ultra-futuristic screens. One more zone and a whole load of tricky stuff to go...
31/10/2004:OMG Halloween!!! After a week spent floating around the countryside (and completing the blueprints for my upcoming Hexen project) I'm back in Real-Life(tm) again. I've finished map 27 of Super Sonic DooM and map 29 of ZDCTFMP3. Community Chest 2's fate rests in the balance, as it's not complete but it's supposed to be released today. Believe it or not, the new versions of ZDoom have started flowing again - so that means I can improve the SSD monsters and projectiles with some cool new features. Oh, and I got an optical mouse about 3 weeks ago, too (which has got rid of those annoying mouse problems I had in CTF). Anyway, that's enough for now.
12/10/2004:OMG a frequent update!!! A smaller but nevertheless stylish zone 13 has been completed and some techy screens put up. My ZDCTF map is also starting to move along (an idea I got when I visited a castle a few weeks ago). Err...that's it really.
7/10/2004:More ups and downs again in the twisted world of TUD. Failed two job interviews in a week (I ain't no good at self-sellin') but had a great weekend between those (robot fighting again - I really should build my own, you know). I'm working on maps 25 and 26 together (as they do need bits from each other), and I've also started making a map for the prestigious ZDaemon CTF map pack (whee!). Quite busy then, but it's fun...
So, here are my wads:

This page is intended to showcase my talents in the field of DooM level creation, so this is why the page is only a basic one, with a links page that isn't very good. (the downloads are the important bit, the other bits don't matter as much. Still, that means it doesn't take long to load in...)
If you have any questions, or opinions/comments about any of my wads (or if you find any bugs in them), then let me know at theultimatedoomer@hotmail.com. I am always interested to hear what other people think of my wads.
And remember, remember, that:
DooM lives FOREVER!
