Life
mostly everything about me

  • I'm Lucy
  • The sun was in Virgo when I was born
  • I am Ian's girlfriend
  • We are currently living in Norwich
  • We live with a tank of goldfish and two beautiful little boy-rats called Sinbad and Eyebiter
  • I work in web marketing for a company that sells photographic equipment
  • My career objective is to win enough on the lottery to not have to bother
  • Things I would like to do: visit Egypt, Canada and Tornado Alley in the States
  • I don't have many addictions but those I do suffer with are chocolate biscuits, irish cream liquer, tribal bellydance bling and Melodias
  • No specific religion though I try to live kindly to other humans, animals and the Earth
  • One day when I am brave I will learn to drive, until then I'm not adding to the problem
  • I guess you would classify me as a geek/goth
  • Favourite movies in no particular order would be Hot Fuzz, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars (all of them), Withnail & I, Cleopatra (1963)
  • Favourite TV shows are Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Heroes, the animated Batman series and Planet Earth
  • I enjoy a wide range of music - Amon Tobin, A23, Wumpscut, Corvus Corax, Debussy, too many more to list
  • My favourite author is M.R James who's stories have never failed to give me that lovely creepy feeling of a lonely East Anglian beach in winter
  • I love autumn, twilight, silver jewellery and intelligent, compassionate people
  • I have a particular fondness for wild boar especially their beautiful stripey offspring, whales, hares, dogs and rats
  • I have a few interesting hobbies such as studying / performing Tribal style bellydance and sewing costumes and accessories for it, along with live and tabletop roleplaying games, I love Tomb Raider games, reading, sketching though I never have the time to paint with watercolours any more, and I like painting Warhammer miniatures
  • I love Ian, my parents, my Eceni tribal sisters, the sea, forests, and unpopulated, pretty places
  • I dislike children mainly because I cannot understand them, no matter how hard I try
  • I believe there are too many people in the world
  • I wish that those in power would take the action that needs to be taken and stop thinking only about getting re-elected
  • I wish humanity would grow up and stop acting so selfishly and childishly hiding it's head in the sand
  • Although I believe we should try to get into space as it really is the only way forward for our species I would like us to evolve first so we don't become the pollutant of the universe. We can't look after our own planet - and shouldn't be let loose on others until we have learnt our lesson
  • The future scares me, I can see society devolving into chaos and I am hopeful that I can live out a happy life with those I care about before it does so.
