About Us American Tribal Style is a modern dance with roots in Middle Eastern, Flamenco and Indian dancing traditions for all women of different heights, weights and shapes. We move together as a group; communicating through dance to create a sense of wellbeing, fun and community. Tribal Bellydance tones the abdomen, legs, arms and waist, improves overall fitness, core strength, self-confidence, posture and coordination.

Doors open at 6.15pm, class starts promptly at 6.30pm and finishes at 7.30pm.

Level
While some bellydance experience may be useful, all levels are welcome as we will start from the basics.

What to bring
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, like a long full skirt, yoga / fitness pants or dance pantaloons. We dance in bare feet or soft dance shoes. Bring a scarf for the hips. It is a good idea to bring layers to put on/take off to make sure you don’t get too hot or cold. Don't forget a bottle of water. Bring finger cymbals (zills / sagat) if you have them.
